Charge the phone, pack water, check the weather and decide where everyone is meeting if the group gets separated.
Read the bonuses before buying. Free event gameplay is often plenty for younger or casual Trainers.
Pick a safe public route with several Gyms instead of driving from raid to raid.
The catch is never worth crossing a road unsafely. The Pokémon will come back. You only get one Trainer.
